Overview
The Point of Sale integration connects your organization to PayPal Zettle so you can sell in person at your venue — merch, walk-up tickets, anything you stock as a product — while keeping one catalog and one sales record. Once connected, the products you choose sync to your Zettle register, and every Zettle sale flows back into Stageboxx: purchase history, balances, and payouts, all in one place. It's a paid add-on (the Point of Sale feature), and currently supports PayPal Zettle accounts billing in SEK.
Key concepts
One connection per organization
You can connect a single Zettle account at a time. To switch accounts, disconnect the current one first — Stageboxx revokes access at Zettle and stops syncing before you reconnect.
Product selection, not automatic
Connecting doesn't push your whole catalog. You choose which products sync to Zettle, and whether a product's variants (size, color, etc.) sync as separate register items or one combined item.
Sales sync automatically
A webhook is registered the moment you connect. Sales made on the Zettle register show up in Stageboxx without any manual step — no re-import, no CSV.
Connect and sync in 7 steps
You'll leave Stageboxx briefly for step 2 — that's PayPal Zettle's own login, not a mistake.
Open Point of Sale and connect
From your vendor dashboard, go to Point of Sale and select "Connect Zettle". This needs the Point of Sale feature on your plan — you'll see an upgrade prompt instead if it isn't included.
Log in to PayPal Zettle
You're redirected to Zettle's own site to sign in and authorize Stageboxx to access your account. Stageboxx never sees your Zettle password.
Stageboxx verifies your account
Zettle redirects you back and Stageboxx checks your account currency. Only SEK accounts can connect — a different currency stops the connection with an error, since the platform bills and reports in SEK.
The connection is created
Once verified, Stageboxx stores the connection and registers a webhook automatically — no separate setup step for receiving sales.
Choose which products to sync
Open the Products tab under Point of Sale → PayPal Zettle and select which products should exist on your Zettle register, and whether each product's variants sync separately or combined.
Watch the sync status
Selected products push to your Zettle catalog. Each one shows synced, pending, or error next to it — if a product errors, use resync on that product instead of redoing the whole selection.
Sell, and see it land automatically
Ring up sales on the Zettle register as normal. They appear under the Purchases tab, and your balance, payouts, and transaction history appear under Finance — no manual entry.
Frequently asked questions
The connection failed with a currency error — why?
Stageboxx only connects to Zettle accounts billing in SEK. If your Zettle account uses a different currency, the handshake stops at step 3 and no connection is created. There's currently no way to connect a non-SEK account.
Can I connect a second Zettle account, or switch accounts?
Only one active connection is allowed per organization. To switch, disconnect the current account first (Point of Sale → PayPal Zettle → Settings → Disconnect), then connect the new one.
What happens to my products if I disconnect?
Disconnecting stops syncing — items already on your Zettle register stay there, but they'll no longer update from Stageboxx and new sales won't flow back. Reconnecting re-establishes the connection; you'll need to re-select your product sync list.
Do I need to log in to Zettle again later?
No — once connected, Stageboxx refreshes access automatically in the background. You'd only see step 2 again if you disconnect and reconnect, or if you revoke Stageboxx's access from Zettle's side.
A product shows a sync error — what do I do?
Open the Products tab and use resync on that product — it clears the error and queues it to push again. You don't need to redo your whole selection.
